Dr. Koundinya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. He received his Ph.D. from IIT Madras (2012–2019) and subsequently held postdoctoral positions at IIT Madras and the Max-Planck-Institute for Sustainable Materials, Düsseldorf, before joining IIT Jodhpur (2024) and IIT Kharagpur (2026). His expertise spans high-temperature deformation, electron microscopy, and microstructure engineering of structural alloys.
