We are seeking highly motivated PhD candidates with a strong background in materials science, metallurgy, or mechanical engineering. Positions are available in the areas of high-temperature deformation, electron microscopy, and alloy design. Funding is available through institute fellowships (PMRF, GATE-qualified) and sponsored research projects.
- B.Tech / M.Tech in MME or ME
- GATE qualified (preferred)
- Electron microscopy experience (a plus)
- Strong analytical mindset
M.Tech students at IIT Kharagpur are welcome to discuss thesis projects within the lab's research themes. Projects span experimental alloy characterization, processing map development, and electron microscopy studies. Students gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art characterization infrastructure.
